Dead Orbit Mall, a vaporwave cyberpunk zine

Here, I published a new zine, I wrote and illustrated Dead Orbit Mall, a reskin of Dark Fort, the solo game that inspired Mork Borg. I say reskin but it became its own thing, more like a soft hack. I also added 2 pages of tools to use the zine with CY_BORG. I had a lot of fun drawing this one, especially playing with the sunset color palette. I could not have finished the zine without the help of Jellyfish Lines who did the layout of the PDF.

The idea came from my friend Roxi who shared a piece of trivia about dead satellites coming back to life and a vaporwave collage image that she made:

I am really happy to finally republish this zine, I hope I will be able to release more of my unfinished old projects next year.

One my goals with Doodle Land is to show that you don't need to use AI to publish a beautiful TTRPG zine, you can do it simply with doodles and a smart layout.

My new Black Sword Hack Campaign

 

I started a new campaign of the Black Sword Hack using the Ultimate Chaos edition here is the map of the world that we generated together. 

the Crown World of Palar The stronghold of Balance is a caravan that circle the world. The path of Balance was broken when the Merchant Kingdom of Thyre sunk because of their greed! Which awoken the flesh pit and brought back the ancient monarch of chaos back from the dead. The ancient monarch used ancient technology to craft an army of misshapen bioengineered beasts!

Below is the map of the sea cliff village where we started the campaign. The player characters were hiding from their past here, amongst reformed scoundrels and criminals. They have to defend the village against mercenaries who want the monastery's relic.

I am trying to play the campaign as a series of short 1 or 2 sessions scenarios related to the fate of the world.

Update and Marchebranche is getting in print!

 Well my desire to post weekly vanished after only one post. I guess there is a big different between blog journaling just for fun while you play games and being a freelancer who need to pay rent with TTRPG work. I am just spread too thin over too many projects and commissions to have the energy to blog. 

But hey, a French RPG that I fully illustrated have been finished and they are getting ready to print the book. The book is in french but I share the link just in case some of you want to collect it as a nice art object:

Paper Huts

 Lettuce is kickstarting a zine for Forbidden Psalm using the bric-a-brac formula. It will contain some articles, scenarios, warbands, etc and most importantly some modular paper huts! 

Look how pretty these prototypes are are. What I love is that you can cobble them together to make all kind of different huts and with the right paper they are pretty sturdy.
